When you visit our website www.thecmec.org (the "Site"), and more generally, use any of our services or resources (collectively, the "Services", which include the Site), you may provide us with your personal information. In this Privacy Policy, we seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what personal information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. Personal information you provide to us.

We collect data that you provide to us in connection with your use of the Services, such as your email address and postal address if you register for an account; and other similar information. That may include transactional information that we collect from you to fulfill any transactional requests made through the Site. Our servers are located in the United States of America and Canada. If you are accessing the Site from outside of the United States of America and/or Canada, please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we may share your personal information (see the section headed "DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION" above), in the United States of America, Canada and other countries.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than necessary.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

SECURITY

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your personal information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security, and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your personal information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from the Site is at your own risk. You should only access the Site within a secure environment.

MINORS

We do not knowingly solicit personal information from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Site. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the corresponding account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. The Site may contain links to third party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Site.

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and personal information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

DO-NOT-TRACK

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy

MODIFICATIONS

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your personal informationYou will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Services after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.
