We were disappointed not to be able to host our annual Summer Retreat in 2020 or 2021 due to event limitations. But it has given us opportunities to brainstorm new, more intimate avenues for in-person connection.
Toward that end, we are pleased to invite you to one of our Summer Gatherings on the East Coast this July!
We will take up the theme Sustaining Practices for the Mother-Teacher at these afternoon events filled with inspiration and encouragement:
An insightful talk from Celeste Cruz, a homeschooling mother of ten, on how Charlotte Mason’s philosophy of education offers a strong and flexible framework for mothers.
Small group discussion to share common struggles and methods for forming habits, seeking leisure and rest, and accomplishing our educational goals.
Time for brush drawing together—bring something in bloom from your yard!
Light refreshments and social time with a display of notebooks from students and mothers.
These events are hosted by CMEC members who have invited Amy and Celeste to come and share.
For details or to register, see the linked event descriptions linked below.
And feel free to invite your friends! Registration for these events is open to the public, so spread the word to any interested homeschooling mothers in your community.
We look forward to meeting you!
